Greg Duncan, EHS & ESG Expert at VelocityEHS, will review the key elements of proactive, risk-based safety management, using the framework of the NIOSH initiative Prevention through Design (PtD) to reduce or eliminate risks at the source. The importance of a dynamic perspective that tracks risks and interactive exercises will also be discussed.

There is a correlation between poor workplace ergonomics, jobs with high injury/illness rates, and opioid-related overdose death. Blake McGowan, CPE, will discuss how it is critical to implement workplace interventions to reduce hazards that lead to injuries for which opioids are prescribed.
