Matt has been with VelocityEHS for over fourteen years. Matt holds a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Principal Solutions Strategist of Risk Management, VelocityEHS
Alex Apostolou, Principal Solutions Strategist, Risk Management at VelocityEHS, works with EHS leaders to address the challenges they face when embedding active, efficient, and auditable risk and control management processes throughout their organizations. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Cultural Studies and Creative Writing from Curtin University, Western Australia.
Rick Barker, CPE, CSP
Principal Solutions Strategist of Ergonomics, VelocityEHS
Rick Barker, Principal Solutions Strategist, Ergonomics for VelocityEHS, facilitates skill and knowledge-building activities relating to safety management systems, industrial ergonomics, human performance, and human factors. Rick holds a Master of Arts in Human Factors from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Rick is a Certified Professional Ergonomist and Certified Safety Professional.

Roger Bottum, Senior Vice President, Product at VelocityEHS, leads product strategy, product planning and market intelligence for VelocityEHS. He has decades of experience in risk management software and in enterprise SaaS software. Roger received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics from Colorado College and attended the Kellogg School of Business.

Dana Garber, Senior Solutions Strategist at VelocityEHS, brings extensive knowledge of risk management to the VelocityEHS product team. His experience includes hazard identification, safety management systems, HAZOP studies, risk assessments, permitting processes, and facility siting. Dana has received a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Mathematics from the University of York in the United Kingdom.

Kristi Hames, Senior Solutions Strategist, IH at VelocityEHS, supports the development of industrial hygiene and ergonomics software products. Kristi assists customers in developing, implementing, evaluating and improving their IH and ergonomics processes. Kristi received a B.S. in IH from Ohio University. She has achieved recognition as a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional.

Joe Kawa is the Product Manager of Data Analytics for VelocityEHS. He is responsible for in-app reporting and dashboards, the VelocityEHS Data Lake, and integrations for analytics. Joe has a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University.
David Loughran, Ph.D.
Chief Economist & Senior Vice President for Product, Praedicat
David Loughran is the Chief Economist and Senior Vice President for Product at Praedicat, Inc. David is a co-founder of Praedicat and has played a central role in developing the theoretical framework, analytical methods, and data structures that underlie Praedicat’s emerging risk and insurance modeling platforms. Loughran holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dave Risi is the Principal Solutions Strategist of Industrial Hygiene for VelocityEHS. He is a board-certified industrial hygienist and safety professional, with over 30 years of EHS experience. Dave has a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety & Health from Ferris State University and a Master’s in Industrial Hygiene from UCLA.
Veeru Talreja, Ph.D.
Machine Learning Scientist of Product Development, VelocityEHS
Dr. Veeru Talreja is a Machine Learning Scientist in the Research department of R&D for VelocityEHS. Veeru develops computer vision machine learning solutions for application in the EHS industry. Veeru has a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, and a Ph.D. and M.S.E.E. degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
