Jenny:

Hi, I’m Jenny Gober, a certified professional ergonomist here at Humantech (now VelocityEHS Ergonomics). Today, we’re in our manufacturing corner, and joining us is Kurt from Lean Factory America. Kurt’s going to talk to us a little bit about some of the products that Lean Factory America provides.

Hi Kurt, how are you today?

Kurt:

Great, thanks, Jenny. I appreciate the opportunity. My name is Kurt Greissinger with Lean Factory America, and today we’re here to discuss the Movexx product line.

The Movexx product line is a line of compact push-pull assists that range from anywhere from a thousand kilograms or 2,200 pounds to over six thousand kilograms in different form factors, whether it’s a pedestrian unit or a tugging unit or a platform or sit-down type unit. All of these are designed for moving anything, carts, anything with wheels.

Jenny:

So, lots of different ranges and sizes for lots of different applications. Ok, great. And so today, we’re specifically looking at one. Can you tell me a little bit about this particular product?

Kurt:

Sure, this is the T-1000 compact push-pull assist. This unit will handle a thousand kilograms or 2,200 pounds. With it are some inherent safety features. We have a height-adjustable tiller handle here for different-sized operators.

Jenny:

And we know we always love height adjustability. Great.

Kurt:

We’ve got a low speed and a high speed that are field-programmable. They can be set with different acceleration ramps, decelerations, a built-in electric brake, and a removable battery pack. So, in this case, we can remove the battery, put that onto a wall charger, take another one and put it back on here, and you’re up and running.

Jenny:

And I really like the fact that it has a handle, which makes it very easy for the operator to remove. Great. Are there any other customizable features that are particular to this unit?

Kurt:

Yes, the hook itself is easily changeable for any type of cart, dolly, anything that you have. Different hook sizes, we have different hook types. It could be a pin hook; it might be a suction cup hook for grabbing onto a tank that doesn’t have any handles. And these can also be made by the customer, so very simple to customize a hook for the particular application.

Jenny:

Perfect. So, a lot of different customizable options for many different applications in many different industries. Kurt, thank you very much for your time. I appreciate it. Again, my name is Jenny. I’m in Humantech’s (now VelocityEHS Ergonomics) manufacturing corner, joined by Kurt from Lean Factory America. Thanks for joining.
