Ergonomics is about making things that fit people well.

When we apply that into the workplace, that means providing jobs that fit the people who are doing the jobs.

From an employer’s standpoint, certainly we want to keep people healthy and safe while they’re doing their work, but employers also want people who can do their job well and having a job that fits the person allows them to do their job safely, effectively, and accurately.
