OSHA’s Top 10 Most Cited Violations of 2017

OSHA just named the Top 10 most cited violations of 2017 at the annual National Safety Council (NSC) Congress and Expo.

For those involved in chemical management, it comes as no surprise that Hazard Communication continues to maintain the No. 2 spot on the list, as questions and confusion resulting from the adoption of GHS and its changes to OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) continue to remain rampant.

EHS professionals attending the 2017 NSC Congress & Expo are encouraged to attend our session, “The New Face of HazCom – SDS & Label Compliance in the Post-GHS Deadline Era,” on Wednesday, September 27 from 10–11 a.m. EDT. Hosted by two of the industry’s leading HazCom/GHS experts, Glenn Trout, president and CEO of VelocityEHS and Chuck Haling, vice president of sales at VelocityEHS, the presentation will cover some of the most challenging issues surrounding SDS management and label compliance, two key areas where employers continue to have questions and uncertainties following the GHS adoption.

Those unable to attend the NSC Congress & Expo presentation can get up to speed on what to do to keep workers safe and workplaces compliant  with the help of our live and on-demand GHS/HazCom webinar available at www.ehs.com/resources/webinars-and-recordings.
