What Are Inspections?
Inspections are a formal, documented process for identifying hazards, verifying compliance and systematically evaluating workplace EHS performance so that issues can be uncovered and ultimately corrected. They are a fundamental part of an effective workplace EHS management program, and while each inspection is unique to the work environment, equipment, process or personnel being evaluated, all serve the purpose of comparing workplace conditions against acceptable standards through the use of inspection checklists or other criteria.
