VelocityEHS’ Kent Hatcher interviews Gordon Cooper from Vestil Manufacturing about the company’s drum dumper.

Video Transcript

Kent:

Hi there, it’s Kent from Humantech (now VelocityEHS Ergonomics).I’m a certified professional ergonomist, and I’m here with Gordon from Vestil Manufacturing.

Gordon:

Hello, Kent.

Kent:

Alright, Gordon, what are we looking at here?

Gordon:

This is our portable drum dumper, the HDDP series.

Kent:

Fantastic! Well, I know a lot of our clients at Humantech (now VelocityEHS Ergonomics), as an ergonomics consulting firm, are always asking us about drum handling devices. What are a few of the key features that you have on this particular model?

Gordon:

Well, I like this one because you can take the workload to the product you’re dumping. You can transport the drum, and it’s on casters. Now, the actual hand control has a magnetic back, so you can leave it on the product itself, or you can walk around and verify what you’re dumping and just get out of the way.

Kent:

I know that’s something that’s really important to a lot of our clients because they need to be able to visually verify where they’re dumping to and the position of the load. So, that’s great! What else is there?

Gordon:

Well, this handle does remove. It is portable, so it has a DC motor power unit with a rechargeable battery, and also, you get a 110 single-phase charger with it. It has different heights of up to 72 inches dump heights.

Kent:

Great! And I know that your clients really appreciate that up to a 55-gallon drum will fit and all different kinds of drums.

Gordon:

Exactly! The way we hold down the drum, you can use this with any drum type.

Kent:

Great! Well, thank you very much, Gordon. Once again, this is Kent Hatcher from Humantech (now VelocityEHS Ergonomicsl).
