They work as an integral part of our sales team and are a key contributor to our success working in the Business to Business software industry while helping your customers’ manager their Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability needs. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New Business to Business Development
  • Sell VelocityEHS Solution and services by developing and interacting with new and existing customers
  • Manage and document all interactions between potential customers and leads using our CRM tool and status updates as needed or requested
  • Qualify leads and conduct research on potential customers who would benefit and take value from our solutions
  • Conduct web-based product demos, as needed or requested
  • Subject Matter Experts (SME) – Maintain/retain VelocityEHS product and services knowledge at all times
  • Meet sales budget requirements
  • Anticipate a customer’s needs, expectations, and sell VelocityEHS’s entire scope of services and capabilities
  • Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs)

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years outside B2B sales experience preferred, acquiring new accounts in a SaaS or EHS related industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent presentation, organization, verbal and written communication are mandatory
  • Proficient with Internet Browsers with the use of Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products and CRM programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly on the telephone or online communication
  • Strong listening and interpreting skills to identify potential customer needs effectively
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Customer-satisfaction-driven, self-sufficient and dependable
  • Effective team player, quick learner, and self-motivated
  • Must NOT be ‘afraid of the phone’
  • Passionate about his/her work

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related experience in customer phone/web communication is a plus
  • Experience with lead generation and qualifying skills is a plus
  • Able to effectively converse with all contact levels within an organization from Junior to C-level
